My idea is to have an allocated number of spaces for disadvantaged and aboriginal kids in each childcare centre.
Since early childhood education has been proven to perpetuate inequalities and disadvantages, affirmative action for financially disadvantaged or developmentally vulnerable kids will be helpful for their future. If every childcare had a number of spaces that are means-tested for 3 and 4 year olds, it would ensure that these kids would have preschool education that can set them up for future life. It would also ensure more diversity in childcare centres and interaction amongst different socioeconomic backgrounds
